Podhumlje is the first place along the old road that leads from Komiža to Vis, composed of several scattered hamlets. It was named after Hum, highest hill of the island, in which the foot is. In the village, next to the road, is the church of St. Nicholas from XX.st. Also there are a number of interesting archaeological sites, one of which is particularly interesting Lokva, Neolithic pool collection of clay, which can be found in the marked path for Krušovice.
